Many magical people want to work with deities for a number of reasons; they want to work on a specific aspect, they think that a specific pantheon is cool, or they've fallen in love with the idea of a certain deity due to their imagery or myths. All of these are good reasons to research into a deity, but no type of partnership will work if the deity does not want to work with you. On the flipside, sometimes a person doesn't have any idea where to start and would rather have a spirit come to them, and that's okay too! I'm going to go through a couple different ways on how you know what's right.
